How we handle your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Showhaus (“Showhaus”, “we”) is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Our information officer can be reached at info@showhaus.co.za.
What we collect
Your name, email address, mobile number and agency when you ask for a sample, create an account or contact us; the listing photos and details you send us to make your video; and billing details for invoices. Card payments are handled by Paystack; we never see or store your card number.
Why we use it
To make and deliver your videos, run your account, bill you and answer your questions. We only send you marketing if you have agreed to it, and every message lets you opt out.
Contacting agents
We may contact an estate agent once, using the business contact details their agency publishes, to offer a free sample for a listing they are marketing. If they don’t reply or ask us not to, we don’t contact them again.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run Showhaus: hosting, payments, and the video tools that process your listing photos. They may be outside South Africa; we use providers bound to protect the information. We never sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and listing information for as long as your account is open, and billing records for as long as tax law requires (currently five years).
Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. Email info@showhaus.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
